Welcome to the Bakersville Fire and Rescue Web Site.  The mission of BVFR is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Bakersville and Mitchell County from natural and man-made hazards and acute medical emergencies through prevention, education and active intervention.

We are highly involved in incident prevention and highly effective responses to incidents that do occur.  Fire Prevention, Public Safety Education, Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical, Technical Rescue, and Hazardous Materials Responses are all services provided by the outstanding group of employees that comprise the Bakersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
